Still "Gettin' Pumped!"

Hi, Everyone!

I hope you're ding great! I'm on spring break this week...so happy to have time at home where I'm feeling good and can actually do things.

Went back to teaching kindergarten last week. I wasn't sure what to tell the kids about my short, short hair. My sister recommended not to tell them it was short because of my medicine, so I told them I went to the hairdresser and wasn't paying attention. And that when I swiveled around in my chair, it looked like this (rip bandana off my head.) There were gaping mouths, hands shielding eyes, smiles, and perplexed looks. But once I let the kids pet my super soft locks and "Bahhhhed" like a sheep all was right with their world. "Who wants me to put my bandana on?" 10/13 hands shot up. "Okay, no problem!" Then each time a teacher would come into the room, they'd tell them about "my secret" and we'd go through the whole routine with the teachers, ending with the head-petting and "Bahhhing." We even had the principal pet my head! It was a fun week back with the wee ones. By the end of the week, they were asking me to take off my hat!

Still getting "pumped-up" to the size I want to be. I'll probably get 3 more saline fills. My girls are hard as rocks. But they are well-behaved and do not move when I: jump, run, bounce, play baseball....it's kinda nice! There are plusses to all of this!

I am so happy to have my old energy back! I feel soooooooooooo much better than I did during chemo.

Here are some recent photos:

More Recovery...Gettin' Better

Hey There! Thank you for checking out my blog!!!! Wow, I can't believe it's been 39 days since my surgery.....

Things have been getting better with each day. I go back to work teaching kindergarten on Monday. I've have been 6 weeks off from school, and I'm really glad I tacked two weeks on to my original month off. I really needed the extra two weeks to heal more....

I am feeling good. Eating well (too much!) taking walks, doing more around the house...taking Eli to baseball and Cub Scouts, going to church, fishing with Eli, planting flowers, back to my normal routine pretty much. It'll be hard to wake up at 5:30 a.m. though that's for sure, and to get back into the "rat race" but I'm so blessed to have had this time off.

My "girls" are getting bigger! After taking an informal poll amongst my sisters, the chosen names are "Thing One" and "Thing Two"!

Got to go fishin' with my AWESOME boy this week!
                                                Caught two big trout!

Friend, Julie Ewing, met Jon Heder star of
                                      the hit movie Napoleon Dynamite
                                                  at a Comic Convention
and she had this photo taken for me!

Fuzzy old lady but I'm cool with it.
I'll probably dye it "Bonnie Raitt Red" at some point soon....

The girls are gettin' pumped every week!
Makes life ever so exciting!

My sister, Trudy, came with me to HUP on Friday.
She's the best sister ever! (Besides Lisa, Mare, Gret, Heidi, & Judy!)

I hope this photo doesn't offend you, but seriously, this is an "AHA" bra
and it's pretty dang UNSEXY! I have seen bikinis WAY more revealing than
this dowdy thang! Anyway, just wanted to show you my progress!
I am not even a size A, and am shooting for a size B.

                                                      Then look out world!

Thank you ALL for your support!!!!!!!!!!!
