I had so much fun last night with my girlfriends, buds, sisters, bro, and of course, Chip & Eli! It was really not so bad losing my hair. (Plus I still have a layer of peach fuzz...) The "F" foods at the party were soooooo yummy (fritos, falafel, feta cheese salad, flan, Fuji apples, "Fambalaya", "Funkin Fie" fruit salad, fudge brownies, plus much much more!) We all had fun listening to live music, singing, eating, doing our nails, temporary tats and then.......there was the cutting shaving of my locks. I was so ready for it.....Eli did GREAT chopping for at least five minutes, and Chip did much of the honors too! I was so proud of my guys! Not easy to have your wife or mom lose their hair but they did GREAT! Other friends joined in the cutting fun... Judy and Trudy did a lot of that with the electric razor, and it ended with a Mohawk and then a fuzz job! It was so great to see sooooo many of my sweet old friends and to catch up with all my pals! It meant so much to me to have everyone there to support me! Thanks for helping me get through this last night, you guys....
Love and Hugs to all, Annie (a.k.a. "Fuzzy")

Dear Annie,
ReplyDeleteI just learned about your blog and battle with cancer via Chip's fb post. Girl, you remain a shining light to anyone who is lucky enough to be in your path and your blog is evidence that you are winning this battle. And, for the record, hair..no hair...you are stunningly beautiful! I have had my own struggles with hair loss, and you are right, it hits hard. I love that you gathered your friends, and got rid of it. I've been temped, but then see signs of regrowth and regain my patience. It's been way to long since I've seen you but at least I get to listen to your sweet music. Eli is adorable, and seems like such a smart little boy (also via Chip fb).
Meeting you all those years ago, was a blessing for me. I hope we can get together again one day when I visit the PA/NJ area. I am praying for you right now, and thanking God for your giving you His Grace and Strength. It is showing!
Love to you and the boys!

Continued prayers and all good things to you, Chip and Eli.
Love is all there is and you are surrounded by lots of it, so take it in and let it stir your soul for that positive energy!!
