Hey All!
You are so kind to check up.....thanks for caring! Got a lot going on. Thought I'd share a photo from this past summer. This is one reason I have to make certain choices lately...good, smart choices. I have been doing A LOT of thinking and talking to God lately.
Okay so P.U., Sandy informs us, "is a shortened term for puteo, which is Latin for 'to stink, be redolent, or smell bad.' It's actually spelled "piu," but is often pronounced as "pee-yew". It's root is the Indo-European word "pu," meaning to rot or decay. A lot of other languages use this root word and have the same general meaning.' Why thank you La Professora Sandra!
Did you all read those very descriptive words - redolent, rot, decay? Nuff said? Well that is exactly what I am all day every day because I can't use deodorant for SIX weeks after surgery! How I long for the calming scent of baby powder wafting through the air, its caressing touch under my arms.....or the distinctive aroma of Tom's of Maine lavender roll-on drifting 'neath my sensitive nostrils...but alas that will have to wait a few more weeks for my "Baby" or "Tom" for that matter...
Okay so this Monday, October 14th, I have a plethora of doctor visits at H.U.P. 10:30 a.m. I get my echo cardiogram to check my heart. 12:30 p.m. I meet with a nurse for a chemotherapy tutorial (what to expect) And then at 2:30 p.m. I meet with Dr. Tchou the surgeon to discuss some "stuff". I'm really thinking a lot about BIG decisions in the future. Don't feel like discussing now.
I will start chemo soon....It may be as close as next week or the week of October 21st. I will let you know asap. My sis Trudy is coming with Chip & I on Monday. It'll be good to have them there. A long day but at least we can bond...(as those two sit ten feet away from me!)
We're continuing to pray. Love you!
ReplyDeleteAnnie - thank you again, for these posts. It helps me not to bug you with incessant text messaging and emails. Please continue to let us know your schedule ahead of time so we can cover the appointments in prayer. I'll be there whenever I am able. xoxox
